Yes in that vicinity, just off the walkway. I thought it had something to do with the collapsed aerial ropeway but those shale buckets are quite different.
I'm not sure what this is but curious if anyone knows. It looks like a boiler but has the fittings for ropeway use.
For now I'm just calling a it a mining relic. All yours jonnosan.

Grampians, Serra Range. I cannot identify the peak. However ... it may be just behind Halls Gap looking south.

Answer I was looking for was Twin Peak but I was on the shoulder of Lubra/Warrinuburb when I took the photo. Should've been clearer when I posted the photo sorry.

This game is "Where is it", not "Where am I". So it's Twin Peak and I reckon eggs should have it. Twin Peak would have been my next guess.

The where-is-it is easy, you're looking at the Main Range in NSW Snowy Mtns. Going by the clue - from Mt Bogong?

Thanks eggs, I know those in distant view well. Much of the Vic. high country still to be explored, which I'll get to eventually.

Keeping with regional integrity, what am I climbing in NSW?

Though it's not too far away. I can usually walk to NRH from here in around 90 minutes, maybe less if quick.
I'm heading for the trig just visible top right-ish in the image.

Maybe southerly rams head (ie: the higher of the two spots marked on some maps as south rams head).

Thanks John. I camped there on New Years Day 2017, one day after jonnosan had been there. As far as I know it is the closest we have been to crossing paths.

I reckon many of us have probably crossed paths or nearly so without knowing.

Looks like Townsend from Abbott Peak.
