Greg, close but no salami. (One hopes that salami is preferred to cigars.) I know the Bogong HP pretty well, and this is the only feature like this that I can recall.

There's only a few aqueducts near Ryders, and only one that looks like this.

Neil, correct. I went up the Cope summit track from the road, which was interesting as my map did not show the track. No GPS either. At the flattening at about 1740 metres I went to where it started to get steep then went south, hitting a small saddle. Then SW down the creek, on-off track, to reach the end of the Cope East Aqueduct, where the pic was taken. Crossing the creek below Ryders involved a leap of faith. All yours.

Thanks Lops. This one is in Victoria and I would like the name of the summit I'm approaching.

Bleak? There''s blue sky visible.
Wind was horrible and the morning was a bit socked in, but otherwise not that bad. I may have survived. At least . . . I don't remember carking it . . .

Gungartan it is.

The air temperature looks quite brisk, and despite the blue sky there is probably wind. Last time I was there I had wind, did you? I'll take it as read that you lived. The pic below is in Victoria.

No, quite some distance from there, maybe six hours for the drive and several hours for the walk to the ridges in the pic.

Eastern Victoria is correct. The background is not much help, but the rock formation should be.

Is it my turn, or do you want something more specific? When I skied past there was a lot more snow (always useful when skiing) and I did not fix the feature on the map. There's a decent sized plateau at about 2080 metres, maybe one of the bumps on that.

I reckon he's given you a yes and it's your turn. I've been to that feature myself, AFAIK it is unnamed.

Thanks, was unsure. There's so many distinctive features that have no names ... I had to get out my 1:50 and check where I went skiing, just a vague memory now. The next pic is in Victoria.
