A hint to move it along... Here's a reciprocal view from one of the hills in the first photo looking back at the origin of that photo (photos were taken a couple of days apart):

I don't suppose that's Ti Willa Plateau we're looking at in your second photo...

No but you're not too far away (within about 15km). Both photos look across the same river valley, which downstream flows within a few k's of Ti Willa

[*Sigh*... broke it again]

Here's a closer view of one of the features in the first photo (the second photo was taken from the top of said feature). Should be pretty easy now.

Hmm. Your latest photo might be Executioner Bluff on the Colboyd, but I don't know that part of Kanangra very well.

Closer. You've gone one range too far south.

OK I give up. The first shot is looking at Bullhead Ridge/Cambage Spire from Scotts Main Range (between Bulga and Many Points ridges). The second photo is looking back at the origin of the first photo (with the blue breaks behind SMR) from the top of Cambage Spire, and the third is a close up of Cambage Spire from further down the ridge towards the Kowmung (between the Spire and Sullen Tor).

Apologies if it was too obscure (didn't think it was  ). Someone else can post.

WFBW, I would have thought that most places would be known to at least some people, and the ridges are distinctive. Still in NSW.

How did Morton come into this high peak snow scene? What did I miss?

The big winter snow pics always stump me as I'm usually only there in summer. It looks a bit like below the Sentinel.

Same. I'm going to throw up Jagungal, coz it kind of matches the profile from the ridge to the south, but I'm not confident.

Eggs has it. The pic was taken on the slope west of Lake Albina, probably on the ridge that goes west from the north end of Albina.

Tricky - it was not my first thought, but a summer photo seemed to have the front rock face in it.

Back to Vic now.

Eggs, the snow pic look vastly different in summer. I've been back a few times and seen a vast change.

You have posted a great picture. It has places I have almost certainly have walked. The back looks like Howitt, maybe with Cobbler on the horizon. Was this taken from near or on King Billy?

Is it a view south-ish along Crosscut Saw, with the cliffs of Devils Staircase looming up behind?

South along The Crosscut sounds good, perhaps from Buggary. If so, West Peak is on the right. The distant mountain on the left horizon may be McDonald or nearby.

I will give it to peregrinator as it is a view south along the Crosscut Saw.
Devils Staircase is in view but so is Howitt West Peak.
We were nearing the top of Buggery at the time.

Thank you, eggs. South Australia for this one. What is the formation in the background and on what range would I have to be located to take this photograph?

A clue is forthcoming. Not that this should need one. I thought the answer would be too obvious. And, no, these sentences do not provide a cryptic clue.

I knew you would have the answer, eggs. Yes, it is a view WNW from the Chace Range to the SE corner of Wilpena Pound, with Point Bonney (1135m) being the highest peak in that area.

Eggs, I might be hand-balling this directly back to you. South Australia, once again. Where (more or less) were these sheep safely grazing until I wandered along the trail?
