Hmm, maybe looking at the Wollondilly River from somewhere in or near Nattai NP area, Wanganderry Walls/Bonnum Pic possibly?

That'll do... It is the Wollondilly from Wanganderry Tablelands, but to be specific the photo was taken from Beloon Pass.

Very generous, thanks. The general outlook was familar but I've yet to visit Beloon Pass. Staying in NSW:

There are some slabs like this around Bonnum Pic but the background doesn't really match my recollection?

I was being a bit cheeky after the previous photo. It is the slabs en route to Bonnum Pic, although I was heading back at the time.
Looks like wfbw is first correct, despite the self doubt .

I think that's on Mt Solitary looking towards Lake Burragorang. Standing near Chinamans Gully?

at a lookout between the south col and point repulse, Mt Solitary. Looking towards burragorang. If I had to guess your exact location, I would say south col and taking advantage of the zoom function a bit :)

Yes, near the lookout where the log book is at the top of The Col on Mt Solitary, looking at Lake Burragorang (with a lot of zoom :)). All yours wildwanderer.
