Not Jervis Bay Adam. The caption on that photo is wrong, that'll teach you for cheating!
eggs has it with The Pinnacles at Ben Boyd NP, just north of Eden on NSW far south coast.

Surely I get something for trying? (World's greatest time wasting award perhaps?)

The Aussie competition is definitely going to be harder than Tas.
I must also confess I "cheated" by doing a quick search on coloured cliffs in NSW on google. Ending up at Nat Parks sites and trip reports gives a bit more confidence.
But yes - you get points for trying.

This might be harder still - hint this is not NSW

Not Weribee.
Next hint - it is pretty close to NSW - and is a quite popular swimming hole to walk in to.

Mmm, puzzling. It does remind me of the limestone karst/gorge country at Blue Waterholes in KNP, such as around Nicole Gorge but that's in NSW.

Australia is a big place. So we don't go off on wild goose chases with each guess can I suggest making a rule of Tony's original proposal on the first page of the game? :)

Hi Anne,

Blue water holes is in the the Kosciusko National Park, it is near the ACT border but to drive there you have to go in via Kiandra. It is one of the best places in the northern KNP to visit.

No worries eggs :), I don't think everyone has been doing it anyway. I hope that didn't sound pedantic. Just that I noticed we're all jumping around all over the place and if the state is a given it helps with the research if it's an unfamiliar location.

Hi John,

Thanks for the suggestion. I will PM the admin about making "declaring the state on posting the photo" as a rule, I will also remind members that wish to participate in thie Aussie game to read the rules and the first post on page one and that at least in the early days to try and post photos with visual clues, though I do think the odd harder photo is good for the comp.

Re: Game: Where-is-it (Aussie) new rule

Postby Tony » Wed 02 Mar, 2011 7:52 pm

Turns out I have editing capabilities for the game rules, I have just added the rule
As Australia is a big place, when you post a picture please give the State the picture is from

As the game is new and is still developing, Please feel free to make suggestions for ways to improve this game.

Thanks
