Or closer to Valentines, looking at Ghost Hill (which would align with the clue)?

Not Sierra, as I've heard it referred to a few times - Mt Fredrick on the Serra Range from the track up from Sheep Hills carpark, part of the Major Mitchell Plateau walk.

Parks are busily destroying this walk in favour of the glamping dollar.

Thanks. Still NSW... View should be reasonably straightforward so maybe try and pinpoint where it's taken from?

Until I have more time on my hands sadly my experience of the area remains limited. I'll try Mt Talaterang.

Actually given it's a "where is it", the Clyde Gorge will do (can also see part of Hollands Gorge). It was taken from the northernmost of the Seven Gods Pinnacles (not sure if that makes it the 1st or 7th god??)... just off the main track from Mt Cole into Monolith Valley

Thanks, the clue helped and I'd seen the two lumps at the back from Mt Bushwalker nearby.

Staying in NSW. Name the foreground feature/locality:

No, different NP. But you're heading in the right direction and not too far away.
I'm off the main track through here and most people probably wouldn't see this view.

I think the foreground feature is The Balconies. You are seaward of the Coast Track, to the north of the big gully that is itself north of the balconies.

[edit: and quite a lot of zoom too]

Well done ribuck, nailed it. I took off around Jibbon and Port Hacking Point following the foreshore, rocky headlands etc through the Cobblers, which I'd done once previously. I had planned to climb down to The Balconies but couldn't figure out the way down even though I'd done it before. Your turn.

Thanks! The only problem with this game is that I keep wanting to visit the places that are posted here. Fortunately, The Balconies will be fairly straightforward to visit.

Anyway, this one is also in NSW.

Sorry neilmny. I assume you are referring to the person. They are on a lump of concrete, rather than on a mountain.

peregrinator wrote:I'll try Mt Everest

Sorry peregrinator. To the best of my knowledge, no-one has ever watched sunset from the summit of Mt Everest. You're more likely to survive if you are off the summit of Mt Everest well before sundown.

Lophophaps wrote:Jagungal or Kosciuszko?

Sorry lofo, I don't think there's a place called "Jagungal or Kosciuszko".

Or perhaps you were trying to sneak two separate guesses into one post. I don't want to set a precedent by accepting that. Suppose I did, then next time you posted a photo of a mountain I would be tempted to upload a listing of all the peaks in the state.

However, I will give you 24 hours (from the time of this post) to upload a single guess. After that it's open to everyone again. And here's a clue: Believe it or not, it was named after the work of lawnmowing art in the following photo:

1. Lump of concrete? Mountain? What's the diff?

2. I'm terribly sorry. I was sure that looked like sunrise.

3. I understand your reasoning about setting a precedent. I do not understand your linkage of lawnmowing and art.
