Thanks, eggs, but I'm giving it to John W who more or less got it, and as I'm not able to post for several weeks.

Thank you peregrinator. Ironically I think I previously answered a very similar image correctly.
When I eventually get around to visiting more of these places, hopefully I'll be more consistent .

NSW, name the round lump in the centre/middle distance. Bonus point if you can place my location.

Not Jellore....hmmm...interesting. That does look like the High Range microwave tower in the background. Thinking, thinking, thinking.......

Oh my, I've stuffed that up. Having a senior moment . Of course it is Mt Jellore, from the end of Westbreak Fire Trail. For some reason I was thinking of the less significant Mt Flora near my location. Over to WFBW.

Haha was thinking that can only be Jellore and High Range, certainly in that area. This is in the ACT... Image

Maybe the "where is it" is a little too obvious, so might make it a "where from"??

Not Yankee Hat. The man made feature that is partially visible is far bigger and more recent than the paintings.

I wish the rocky bit didn't look so much like the summit of Dicky Coopers. It could almost be, except the ridge seems to keep climbing on the left.

It does look a bit like Dicky Cooper. You aren’t far off.

I am heading up to Tate East ridge on which Gills Knobs is located.

Some clues. Before I started ascending Tate East Ridge I crossed a small wooden bridge. I am facing East.

What am I looking at?

Thanks, that's a spur I've looked at for many years from Guthega but never walked/skied.
Seeing as it snowed down that way the other day, what NSW peak I'm looking towards? Bonus point if you know where the photo was taken
