I saw the road pic and thought Mount William, but it was said to be not. Tricked me! Is the NSW pic the creek campsite below South Rams Head?

Lophaphaps, the 2nd pic is from/of the Mt William Rd - but the range across the valley is the Serra range. The 1st pic is from the track between SheepHills and Mt William carparks.

Correct. That was before camping there was proscribed. Two tents are just visible at the edge of the shore. It's a long way to drive and ski for just a few days of ice climbing.

Close Lops...yes looking east but south of Cooleman Plains. It's a side trip on the AAWT.

I think I've been here too but can't place it. It does remind me of Chimneys Ridge/Mt Terrible along the Boggy Plain off the AAWT/Cascade Trail.

You're in the general area Lops. That hill has a name and it's not Patrick Swayze.

Grey Mare Range, near GM Bogong? I have not been there in summer for ages. The track looks like the 4WD track that is now very close to natural after the post-fire regrowth.
