Well, most people start walking at either Hardwicke Point or Temma, but if you mean the name of the place, you would be right.

Looks more like Serpentine. Should dig out my own photos and check, but . . . meh, who can be bothered on a Sunday?

Not Serpentine, NNW.

A slightly different angle but the overhanging branch is a give-away.

Perhaps it's time for a hint?

The peak I'm climbing to is not very peaky - although it's name suggests otherwise.

Fits the bill with the clue but, alas, not the Cobberas. That's a long way north-east.

Much closer but still no banana.

The spur in the picture is well traveled but the one I'm on is off-track.

Not many, I suspect, have seen Helicopter Spur from the side.

Easy. Over, eggs, to you :?

Your clue about traffic helped a lot.
I did actually take an interest in the profile of Helicopter Spur on the way towards Buggery - as we were going to come back down it.

I've been there a few times. Time before last, we camped at Stirling Gap and experienced 80kph wind overnight - flattened a few lesser tents. The near white-out next morning had us on the GPS to find our way over Bogong and out.

This is on Quartz Ridge, looking to the Grey Hills & Timms Spur - just fabulous in good weather.

It would be interesting to know the number of photos posted for each state - I wonder if Victoria is most frequent?

This one's in NSW.
