I don't know if neilmny's 2 errors were deliberate but mine was.

A rank guess (or two) nnw; Mt Nelse? Unnamed peak near Mt Nelse ?

(btw, if we're going to start picking up punctuation errors, a new server might be needed to handle the huge increase in posts)

Whoops. I guess if you are going to comment on people's errors one is bound to either make other errors or upset people. And we wouldn't want that!

It's not Nelse and it does have a name, but you're in the right general area.

Absolutely no offence taken from anyones comments Graham. My comment was just a bit of fun knowing how much NNW "enjoys" a good typo or grammatic error.

Wild guess Spion Kopje?

Crows Nest? (But if we are about making corrections, Ravens Nest would be better.)

Yes, looking back while on a sunny snowshoe to camp up on Timms.

My winter trips there had deeper snow. This is in Victoria.

I don't recognise it so deduction will be my guide.

To have that vertical extent of snow in Victoria, it would have to be Hotham/Feathertop or Bogong areas.

It's too peaky for Bogong and it's not Feathertop but there a few bumps along the Razorback that look a bit like this. So ....

Razorback?

Sorry, miles from all of the places you named.

Crosscut Saw?

Re: Game: Where-is-it (Aussie)

Bum ! Crosscut was my first thought but horizontal strata didn't seem correct. Just checked a photo - taken from the ridge/camp above Mac Springs.

So much for deduction - should have gone with the instinct :)

Neil has it. It's sort of Razorback, the SW section of it ... near Howitt. The winter and summer pics look as if they are taken from the same place. At that distance from the Crosscut any angular differences will be minor. Tricky ski in, and out. This is at the Howitt car park. Not many people seen that trip.
