Thanks Tyreless
This one again in NSW. With a fairly identifiable feature. What am I looking up at?
- Devils hole, Blue Mountains National Park. NSW

I cannot recall the name. A very pretty drive from near Katoomba (vaguely), crossed the Six Foot Track, through some gates, to a campsite, start of a walk to Warrigal (sp?). Dunphy campsite? We took in part of the K2K walk from the start. It would assist if I could find my map ... Of course it could be Pigeon House or Mount Tate. It's west of the NSW coast.

It's not Dunphy's Campsite, it's a few KM north of that. You've actually used the name of the feature I was looking for but don't think I can award the win until you corcectly describe how the the feature relates to the picture.

I was right, it's west of the NSW coast! Agreed though, something more specific. I just realised that I only have BM North and that the Megalong is on the BM South map. I can recall some tracks to the north of where we were, and could probably spot it on a map. The picture is quite distinctive. I checked my pictures - it's not Tate. Maybe the Six Foot Track. Where it is in relation to anything is outside my remit.

yes, it's the 6 foot track in the Megalong, looking east towards Katoomba. Your turn Lophophaps

Thanks. I thought that a location on the SFT was needed. It looked like a view towards Katoomba but I was only there once a year ago ... Still in NSW.

That has me thinking about Chimney Ridge, for some reason.

Not The Granites. Try some way further in that continuing general direction. Also, my map shows that it's about 1.5 km from a 4WD track. My map is 30 years old.
