I kept thinking that should be Kosi but Kosi isn't that steep worked it out finally. Nice photo.

With minimal Budawangs experience I haven't a clue and google turned up nothing.

Only vaguely remember the no camping sign but I'm thinking it is just above that

Yep. That'll do since I don't think that particular feature has a name. On the northern end of the ridge, looking south along the eastern edge of the third (I think?) knoll as you head south from the saddle above mawsons hut. Er, if that makes sense. Over to you either way

No. The only mountain I've climbed that shares the name is not in Victoria. But there are other things with this name, and some of them are very, very well known.

No. Didn't know there was another Mt Wellington. The other Mt Whatever I've climbed isn't in Tassie. It isn't even in a state.
