Bringing the photo in play onto the current page:

Looking towards Kingpin Mountain along the Shoalhaven Gorge from halfway up Mt Ayre, Bungonia NP/Morton NP NSW

GregG wrote:Could be the block-up on the Shoalhaven near Bungonia.

You're in the right locality Greg but this is somewhere between 5 and 10 kms from the block up.
I'd be happy with the name of the prominent peak or the mountain/track I'm on.

Getting much further away. I'm north of Blockup Gorge.

Yes Greg, the pyramidical Kingpin Mountain at the back rising up from the Shoalhaven near McCallum's Flat.
I'm halfway up Mt Ayre (White Track) in Bungonia NP. All yours.

Please name the mountain centre of picture on the skyline, it is in NSW. This feature is called a mountain on the map but one man's mountain is just another man's hill I guess.

Also should have mentioned that water in the creek in the foreground ends up in the Hawkesbury.

I wonder if that's Mt Mouin, viewed from far to the west or southwest, although I can't actually work out where you would have taken it from.

Looking at the profile and clues kinda thinking it could be Mt Tomah from somewhere in the lower Blue Mountains.

These two "humps" do have a similar profile to Tomah when viewed from the east in the LBMs but no, it is not MtTomah. You are in the right National Park John so start heading further south.

Not Mouin either, you are too far west Ribuck.

And, the water shed from this feature won't come out of any tap supplied by Sydney Water.

Here's the feature being viewed from the NE back in 1991. Bruce and Tom are on the summit of another Mountain which shares the same name as the creek below.

From your final clue I think it must be Mount Hall. The second photo taken from Mount Erskine, with Erskine Creek between the two. I still can't work out exactly where the first photo is taken from though.

You are 100% on the money Fat Canyoner, a virtual laurel wreath is in its way to you! The original picture was taken from just near The Bluff lookout in Glenbrook, from which location Mt Hall is a prominent feature on the western skyline. I've not been to Mt Hall, years back I suggested it as a potential destination to a bushwalking mate who had been there and he expressed the view that he had no interest in going again ever! Maybe he went in the off season.

Over to you Fat Canyoner.

Another one from NSW. Name the gap in the cliffs (or at least the range).

Was it the ....gles of Warrumbun-gles? Could be Mount Biggles although I can't find it in Google Earth, maybe other people call it something else.

Much closer, geographically speaking (about 3/4 of the way there from the previous answer). Still a way off though and still the wrong four letters.
