Yes, well done eggs. It is The Cathedral and The Hump on Mt Buffalo. Not sure if you can climb the Cathedral without ropes as I didn't attempt to go up there. We were returning from a longer walk through a fair bit of unseasonal early snow to another spot and the view struck me as worthy of a photo. I know there is a short track that goes up from the road which looks quite steep, but I think it's probably better known as a rockclimbing location. Anyway your turn...

Where are they sheltering from a very cold wind?

I am probably wrong but I am going to guess on top of Uluru.

Well done - I was hoping it was not too hard.
We were on top of Uluru just after sun rise - the Olgas [Kata Tjuta] are on the horizon.
I had actually seen sunrise from the top many years before this.

You just need to put in a shot from ACT now and we can wind down the competition on page 4

I am after the name of the peak in the distance just to the right of center or I will accept where am I. (hint: the peak or Mt has the same name as the NP)

Correct it is Mt Namadgi which is in the Namadgi National Park.

Mt Namadgi is one of the most beautiful, interesting and most difficult places in the park to visit. It was used by the local indigenous people as ceremonial grounds and to collect Bogong Moths, lines of rocks can still be seen on the large flat granite slabs.

In the photo we are walking west across the old Gudgenby property, we started at the Yankee Hat Rock Art Car Park on the Old Boboyan Road.

Cunningham Gap? (Only one I can think of)... It's been a while.

Cunningham Gap is a huge drop off tasadam.
And the road through it is a main road - not a dirt road.
This seems to have a NSW / Bue Mountains feel to it, rather than Queensland?

Mmm, yes definitely looks like the Blueys. Michael, can you confirm it's in NSW?

This one has me stumped at present. It definitely looks central Blue Mtns on the southern side. Although I couldn't necessarily rule out the region around the Wolgan and Capertee Valleys. Absolute stab in the dark - Wolgan Gap?

I am surprised this is stumping people.

Yes, central to southern end of BMNP sounds about right. KBNP is to my left when I took the photo.

Sorry Tony, for a while there I didn't think any of us would get it. My only trip to Yerranderie was by 4WD some years ago. We stayed overnight but only did a small amount of bushwalking, so didn't see the view from Yerranderie Peak. I'd planned to go up there very early in the morning but slept in and missed it as we'd organised a tour of the old town with Yerranderie owner Val Lhuede after breakfast. Unfortunately it's such an isolated spot that short-trip planning is awkward. I've occasionally toyed with the idea of flying in by light aircraft from Camden Airport for a weekend visit to do some short walks; might happen one day, else the other way would be as a stopping point on a multi-day walk.
