Sturt NP walk suggestions

Hello,

I have a trip planned to Sturt for 4 nights, and I'm wondering which of the 4 campsites would offer the best base for interesting and substantial walks. I realise 'interesting' is subjective, but would like to hear people's thoughts and experiences. I'd probably try to stay at 3 of the 4.

I'll be traveling alone, non 4wd, enjoy birdwatching, checking out flora, etc. I was in Mutawintji / Kinchega /Mungo last year, and really enjoy the heat and solitude of these landscapes.

Also, has anyone stayed at Fowler's Gap UNSW research station? I'm spending a couple of nights there on the way and one on the way back.
