MOUNT Yarrangobilly?

Postby rcaffin » Mon 15 Aug, 2016 2:50 pm

Has anyone been over MOUNT Yarrangobilly, on the Fiery Range, on the Long Plain?
I am wondering about the scrub.

Cheers

If you mean Yarrangobilly Mountain, yes, from the AAWT. Up to, anyway, if not down the other side. Scrub wasn't an issue, found plenty of leads and brumby pads. Bit boggy on the plains but it was a wettish period when I went up.
Given how long ago that was, there may be problems with regrowth in one or two patches. Memory is a bit hazy and this was preGPS, so there's not much info I can give.

Hi NNW
Yes, Yarrangobilly Mountain (as opposed to Yarrangobilly down on the river).
OK, that fits with what I am seeing on Google Earth - at least it is not sub-alpine scrub then.
Cheers
