Mungo Walking Track (looking for info

Postby Kainas » Sun 26 Feb, 2017 1:11 pm

Hi all,

I am planning another trip. This time just a little one, possibly bike riding, along the Mungo Walking Track (or if need be - the Mungo Brush Road).
http://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/thi ... king-track

I would like some information about the quality of the tracks.
Mungo Walking Track:
- Are bikes allowed? (I am not certain that they aren't).
- Is the track good enough quality for a hiking pram (wide enough, etc) I am capable of negotiating obstacles - as long as they aren't all ridiculous.

Mungo Brush Road:
- Is it too busy to ride on?

Any campsite recommendations for the area?

(My kids have been reminding me about the Yuraygir Coastal Track that we did 18months ago (viewtopic.php?f=47&t=21290) - and begging to do something like it again).
I was thinking Tea Tree Gardens all the way up to Seal Rocks, with 10-20km riding per day (walking is possible, but I would only be able to manage 10km so might have to freedom camp if that is possible).
