Rodriguez pass track

On Wednesday I went for a trip to Edenderry falls, started from Evans Lookout. On my way back I was going 'up' the Rodriguez Pass Track - towards the Grand Canyon track to get back to Evans Lookout. Anyway, after the last crossing (I think it was) of Greaves Creek I found a random hand line on the other side (south) going up toward Carne Wall, I followed it for a bit but realised I was taking longer than what I should so stopped and returned back to the trail.

Now I'm curious, does anyone know where the hand line was going? Rock climbers making access easier to the base of Carne Wall?
