Hiking the Murrumbidgee River?

Postby Rileyr » Mon 16 Jul, 2018 1:32 pm

Hi all,

I have been keeping an eye out for hikes I can do with my dog and came across the Murrumbidgee River on a road trip.

Has any one hiked the Murrumbidgee River?

Looks like its all crown land with TSR's. According to wiki-camps there are camp sites along the river all allowing dogs and all suggesting hiking.

There is a kayaking trip spanning 230km of the river from Yass to Wagga.

I was looking at doing Gundagai to Wagga on foot with my partner and our dog (about 140km). We understand there may not be formed trails.

Does anyone see problems with this? ImageImageImage
