Mt Warning track

Postby bernieq » Thu 19 Jul, 2018 8:29 pm

Chatting to a friend in the nth coast area and he commented that a friend recently tried to climb Mt Warning but the track (track? or last scramble? not sure) was closed.

A bit tenuous being 3rd or 4th hand (and nothing currently on Parks website) but thought I'd ask here if anyone has recent information (ie in the last few weeks) - closed or not? or does NPWS close it from time to time? if so, do they post the information somewhere?

(I'm aware of the Bundjalung request not to climb)

OK, I can answer my own question now - no, the track is not closed.

Yes, clear all day although some regional burning-off made things a bit hazy at the horizon.
