2 day walk ACT Spring time

Fri 12 Jul, 2019 8:47 pm

I am attending a work related 'thing' in the ACT this Spring. I have been looking at walks I can do while down that way, but am just spoiled for choice and can't seem to dial the choices down.
Any locals have any suggestions for a 2 day/1 night walk in the area for a reasonably fit person who can cover 20+km a day comfortably. Okay nav skills, but if I could escape having to buy a topo and just do something straight forward, that would be great too.
Seems lazy to post a topic, but I really am just overwhelmed by my options, would like to tap into the collective brains trust here instead

Bimberi from Orroral valley sounds like the perfect candidate. Straightforward, mostly beautiful and culminates in the summit of the ACT’s highest mountain.

Or the Corang Loop in the Budawangs. Short but stunning and fun.

Let me know if you need any advice or if you need any ideas for something more adventurous.

Cheers.

I second Bimberi, if the weather isn't too bad. What's the river crossing like in spring?

Perfect! Thank you Zapruda and North-North-West. Really helpful to narrow it down for me. I shall start researching now that I have a focus and will come back to this thread and bug you both with any questions that come up in my research of that is okay?
