Carlons Creek

Quick share up for anyone heading out into Therabulat/Wild Dogs. Carlons Creek track has turned into a tangle of weeds post fires (chest high in places) plus a small landslide to negotiate. Will get better with more visitation I guess. Thankfully not too many stinging nettles, but nothing like the easy going climb out of a few years back.

Thanks for letting us know. I went up Ironmonger late last year and found the bottom of it quite overgrown, with head high growth in sections. Improved towards the top, but trailers fainter than what they were per bushfires. I'm guessing Carlon Creek will come good with time and useage, glad to hear the nettles aren't too bad.

Hi dunyabar, I'm planning on walking down Carlons Creek and following Breakfast Creek to the Coxs in a few weeks. Do you think it's dangerous and difficult to navigate or just slow going due to the vegetation? How bad is the landslide?

Just weedy and slow. Nav is fine. Landslip is no issue. Have a crack.
