Toilet facilities needed at Lake Cobbler

Postby dplanet » Thu 19 Dec, 2013 5:33 pm

Just a quick note that there was no toilet at Lake Cobbler last weekend. The toilet was damaged and the fire has been under investigation. Lake Cobbler (with the nearby waterfalls) provides the access to many interesting places such as Mt Cobbler and Mt Speculation and it was a rather busy spot. Just before the hut, there is a ford, which looks crossable only in a high clearance 4WD.

How's the rest of the road up to the creek?
I was under the impression that the crossing had been graded and now ok for 2WD.

The crossing varies depending on weather, water flow, recent traffic and time since last maintenance. But I've always managed to get a high-clearance 2WD in (2WD Hilux, for instance).
