Great South West Walk Water.

Postby Thewaz » Mon 06 Mar, 2017 9:36 am

Hi Guys.
Am planning walking a section of the Great South West Walk in a few weeks and will be camping at Trewella and The Springs camp sights.
Is there water available at the camp spots please?
Thanks

I walked the river section 14 months ago. Was led to believe no water in tanks.

However, we organised a lift through the Friends Of the GSWW and the guy that dropped us off said :"Rubbish- all the tanks at the campsites have drinkable water- I drink it all the time" and he was right.

My suggestion is forget asking us go to the people that know-that is, ring the "Friends of the GSWW " and they will be "Johnny on the spot" and have the most reliable info for your section.

There are certainly tanks at both campsites. They may be depleted after long weekend and Easter.
I agree with GregR, contact the Friends who will have accurate info on water levels and quality.

There's also the delightful Cape Bridgewater Kiosk in between... you can have a lovely lunch and a glass of something cold. :D
