You might want to narrow this question down a bit. Are you worried about the availability of water or the height of the river crossings on the way in.
Always water in the lake.
Never seen the Wellington river run dry on the lower way in.
On the wellington Plains. The Nigothoruk River on the Millers Hut track will have water.
Though with the amount of rain we are going to have up there in the next couple of days. Water isn't going to be an issue. All the springs along the plains will be flowing on the Moroka side.

I meant the availability of drinking water. Question answered - thanks!

Was up there in mid Feb and walking in from McFarlane's Saddle there was no water until Nigothoruk Creek. Never seen it so dry. But Nigothoruk Creek was flowing strongly.

Thanks, Captain!
With the rain we're currently having there should be no problems.

After all this rain the water tank at Nyimba campsite drop loo should have enough water to get you through your trip. Especially if you are camping there and going down to Lake TK as return day trip. Avoid Gillio's track. It is too steep. The Riggall's spur track is not as steep and has a more forgiving gradient.

Anyone have a recent water status in the area?

looking to come down from the wellington plains and then go west down wellington track to get picked up at Wellington river bridge.

Thanks,
RM

When camping at Nyimba have you ever considered getting water from the river towards Millers Hut. Its not far and is more responsible. Leaves water for hygiene purposes.

As per my answers on the other Tali Karng thread- walked in from McFarlands saddle on Saturday. There is plenty in the creek to the East of Nymbia. We actually filled up from the water flow across the track 100m or so West of Nymbia. At the Lake the Falls are flowing strongly and we filled up near the lake at the smaller cascades.

Can't comment on the River trip part of your plan.

The tap on the tank at Nymbia is flowing well, but I too left that for more prosaic purposes.

Cheers
