If anyone is planning to attend, don't bother. Due to ongoing shocking conditions Ted finally admitted defeat is headed off the mountain, according to a voice mail I got a little while ago.

Thanks.

Incredible incessant howling winds, it has not stopped snowing, very icy, frequent white-out conditions. Too dangerous to get down into the village It took him seven hours to walk from PV down to Windy Corner, towing two sleds.

This is a man who says "there's no such thing as bad weather, just poor clothing." As far as I know he's not had issues with the cold or any major equipment failures. It was too windy for him to erect his big tipi. Five people who tried to ski out there on Saturday had to turn back due to the conditions.

I was planning to meet MOONDOG out there during August2018 but the conditions were unfavourable for going over the summit at Falls Creek or coming up Road 24 and heading to PV that way. I got some great XC skiing done though :-) .
