Trans Otway Waterfalls Walk

Postby CraigVIC » Mon 06 May, 2019 9:55 pm

Wondering if anyone has walked this recently?

Over various day walks I've walked it from Lorne through to Allambee Beek. Obviously, a lot of that is on Parks tracks and no big deal. I'm interested to know firstly if the rest is more or less difficult and the extent of taping/footpads on the off track sections. And secondly if it was worth it to do as a single trip? And how many nights did it take? I'm local enough to continue knocking bits off but walking Lorne to Apollo has plenty of appeal.

The ORWTA site seems to be gone.

I can't speak to the viability of the walk itself, although judging by the lack of use and attention it is likely to be a hard slog at times.

As far as the ORTWA site goes, the Wayback Machine is a wonderful thing:

Thanks for that. I'm regretting I didn't get the map cd when the site was live though. The pitfalls of thinking you can always do something later, haha
