I have walked/hiked/camped all over the prom and stayed at the lighthouse too. The Prom and the Alpine Nat. park are my favourite places in Vic.
In one day I hiked from the lighthouse via little waterloo bay to Tidal river on the day that the storms decimated the Prom.It was scary.
