Bush Club .... in SE Qld

if you are in the market for a few more BIG walks per month & live (or visiting) in the SE corner of Brisbane, have a look at http://www.meetup.com/Bush-club/ The aim of the group is to get outdoors.....track or no track.
"This is a group for keener-than-mustard types into multi-day off trail trekking and the occasional paddling trip whatever the season and feel they can keep pace with other likeminded persons. If you just have to get out this weekend and aren't satisfied unless you arrive home the following day feeling beat-up, welcome." quote from site.
We have done a few walks now & this group suits hikers with the stamina to cover 15-20 km a day (up hill & down dale) at a reasonable pace (between 2 - 6 km/hr).

A brief update...
The club now has ~105 members, however we set a max # of 6 participants for the walks.
At this stage, myself & another guy tend to propose (& organise) the walks. My hope is to get a few more experienced walkers to share some of their fav walks.
Sooooooooo, if it sounds like something you'd like to be involved in..... have a look at http://www.meetup.com/Bush-club/
note: we are truly just enthusiastic amateurs and not looking to 'formalise' the club. It is (& will remain) a loose group of kindred souls.
