Inland hiking SEQ/NSW

Postby Ldj226 » Sun 26 Mar, 2017 10:06 am

Hi guys, new to the forum. I have done a huge number of the take a walk in SEQ, as well as a lot of the GW and other walks within 2-3 hrs of Brisbane. I'm looking for a good 1-3 day hike or hikes within 3-6hrs of Brisbane ideally inland or away from the crowds over Easter. Ideally heading south-west or west but open to ideas. We have 4wd and are self-sufficient when walking. Thanks Luke

I'm guessing most of the camp sites & tracks would be chockers
over the easter period..so definitely off track walks to escape
the hoardes.

Some ideas...

Bit of a stretch but carnarvon gorge. How ever could be a tad wet in the next week.

Have you checked out Sundown NP? Should be some options for (off-track) overnight walks in that area. This thread might give you some ideas...viewtopic.php?f=38&t=4210
