Hi all, was just wondering if anyone has climbed Mount Bellenden Ker and if they had hiking notes if so?

I suspect any track may follow the path of the private cable car up to the Broadcast Station on the summit. But I do not know of anyone who has done this.

This is the view of the summit from Walshs Pyramid [ie from the North]

and this is the view from the Gillies Range Road [ie from the North West]

The cable car comes up the ridges on the south side.

I was in Cairns the week before last. Like eggs, I climbed Walsh's Pyramid and did some research on Bellenden Ker. Everything I found seemed to indicate that it is on private property and not accessible. Maybe find the owner contact details and see if you can get permission to go up there?
