Kayak Camping - Glenelg

Postby snoop75 » Thu 11 Oct, 2018 8:03 am

Hey all,

I'm planning for a 4 - 5 day kayak camping trip between Xmas & New Year. At this stage I have Glenelg river in mind, but open to suggestions if anyone interested in coming along has better ideas.

My plan was to drive from Melbourne to Nelson VIC, park my car there and have me and the kayak transported upstrem to Moleside landing, by one of the local canoe hire places. From there it should be a fairly easy going 3 - 5 day paddle downstream back to Nelson, time depending on pace, stops, any fishing, etc.

I have my own kayak and camping gear. If you don't have a kayak I believe you can also hire them at Nelson.

If anyone is interested please let me know.
