Larapinta transfers to Redbank Gorge, Early September

Postby cnspecial » Thu 04 Aug, 2016 12:43 pm

I'm planning on doing the walk west-east, starting sometime within the first two weeks of September (dates flexible).

Reaching out to see if anyone on here is doing a transfer out to Redbank Gorge (with food drops) around the same time frame and is interested in getting another person onboard to help out with the transfer costs (haven't got quotes yet, but I hear it's been quite prohibitive for solo walkers).

I'm planning on doing a roughly fifteen day through hike (might end up quicker, no major sidetrips planned at this stage), first time on the Larapinta, so if anyone is interested in a walking buddy for safety and has the same plans send me a message if your keen! (23 Male Engineer).

Bit late now to reply, but thought it may help future hikers.
Options are few for here. I had a car, but a rental would be the best if you flew in and need to do the food drops.
To get to the west end I hitched out.
Goodluck.
