Monika Billen, 62, last seen leaving the Desert Palms Resort on Barrett Drive at 10:30am on January 1.
Possibly gone on a remote walk (at this time of year).
Police have deployed a Remote Piloted Aircraft to popular walking tracks.

Bushwalking and climbing in high temps is hard and demanding but definitely doable, given nowadays gear and tech. In NT you can make it as hard as you want, given harsh summers...

Calling for people to carry trackers ... um no.
Her phone, once they got to doing something with it, was adequate, in this instance, to give them enough clues.
Having PLBs avalible would be the next step.
