Hope you all had a great Easter, albeit a wet one. Fun to see lots of forum members on the ferry, about to trash themselves with several wet days doing ambitious stuff. Do I presume you climbed Hyperion from the North side?
I assumed the route up with its difficult cliff line was from the south.

I was wondering why you were so nonchalant about it back at Pine Valley, having climbed it twice myself from the south, which sounds a little trickier.
Well done anyway, pity you only got limited views, it's a spectacular panorama from up there.

Had to get my shots from a few angles to check it out - but the approach shot had too much scrub to be from the south.
And the cliff line above them was quite different.
One of the shots seemed to show a bit of a pad? Was it cairned at all?
Not that it matters - I suspect the line of approach would be pretty straight forward over the open slopes and the short distance - and there is hope for me getting up it yet.

Sympathies on the cold - we will be over again late April, but not into the Labyrinth. Last time we went in late April the Labyrinth ponds were freezing over and there was a lot of rain and some snow.
And I noticed a touch of colour in the fagus in one of your shots. Here's hoping...

I wondered if the northern route would be an easier climb than the southern. It certainly looks like it from a distance.
I'll have to re do it and get the camera to the top this time.

I've only been up the route from the south - which more or less follows a spur. I thought that was very straightforward. Certainly a lot easier than climbing to the summit of the Acropolis. Mt Eros, nearby, is well worth climbing too.
