Wilmot River Walks

Fri 12 Jan, 2018 11:35 am

I have cut back on my maintenance on the Wilmot River wlks. I will only look after the East Ellis circuit., with Max's great help.
Vandalism, old age and a lack of community support have finally worn me down after 15 years!
My other track ventures at Minnow Falls, Winter brook et al have also fallen by the wayside. Delighted to see that there is interest in Minnow Falls among the Community

Yes Bill, a huge thanks for all you have done over the years.
I'll be looking for some of your posts with photos from some of those far out places from now on.
Take care.

Fourteen members of the Launceston Ramblers Club did the Lucy Track-Ellis Flat- Dooleys Track circuit today (9.9KM) What a wonderful walk it is - personally my fourth time doing the circuit. The track is in great condition so Bill and Max thank you so much for your maintenance and care of these tracks over the years - as one of our members mentioned today what a great deal of hard work has been done, especially lugging in all the tyres for steps and river crossings. What a pity Parks cannot take over care of this iconic walk, it is very special.
Once again Bill and Max a sincere "thank you" from all of us who have njoyed your toils over many years.
