- Forest, Ulva Island, NZ
G'day all - just back from NZ, with a backlog of blog posts and reports to add here. After seeing kiwi on Stewart Island itself, we did a day trip to smaller Ulva Island. What an amazing place! For me it was four or five hours that will last a lifetime. Read more here

Glad to hear it! I spent my first 3 years of life living in Oban and always love going back! Did you do the tour on Ulva with a lady called Ann by any chance?

We did a self-guided trip Strider. It was my first visit to both Stewart and Ulva Islands, but visit number 6 to NZ, so am getting pretty familiar with the fauna by now.
cheers
Peter

TIritiri Matangi Island,
Kapiti Island
Mt Bruce reserve
bird sanctuaries also all worth a visit,
you'll see a lot more native birds there.
