Bobbin Head loop from/to Mt Kuringai

Postby solohiker » Wed 26 Jul, 2017 6:31 pm

Hi folks,
This weekend I walked a most spectacular walk! I started at Mt Kuringai station, walked to Bobbin head via apple Tree bay, walked the Gibberagong track to the Sphinx memorial then down the Sphinx track to join the warrimoo track back to Bobbin head. From there I returned to Mt K station. 27km all up! I was pretty pleased as I have committed to walk 100km to raise funds for OneSight. The full write up and lots of pictures are via the link below. If you feel like being super awesome and donating to the cause please follow the link in the blog- thank you in advance!
I'd highly recommend doing this walk as the pure Bobbin head loop but if you are transport challenged like I was then the option of starting and ending at Mt K was well worth it.

Thanks for this, I've wanted to do both the bobbin head and sphinx walks for a while - didn't realise you could join them in a loop from a train station (my main issue)

You're welcome! It makes it a long day walk but I'm always up for that! It's a pretty walk the whole way so definitely worth it.

Yea 27k is a pretty long day. I live quite close now though so shouldn't be too early of a start.

Now I just gotta convince the misus it'll be mostly flat. ;)
