Packrafting Bents Basin

Postby jeremy089786 » Thu 19 Apr, 2012 9:52 am

Hi Guys,

For any of you keen on packrafting, Bents basin is a good place to get your skills up for those around Sydney, especially with all this rain at the moment.

A quick report and some pics below:

nice stuff jeremy. good to see the self bailing working. Do yu reckon larger eyelets would work and maybe avoid tearing?

Hey Evan,

Yeah the self bailer is doing well, though I think after 3-4 months and too many pool trials the raft may be getting to the end of its tether. Indeed, I reckon the larger holes are the way to go and indeed eyelets would work much better. I might try and punch a couple in when I get the right tools in a couple of weeks.

I might try this guy out at the Cox's or Bents again this weekend. You keen to come along?

What a great little trip- did this on Saturday with water level at about 0.27m. It forms a nice loop with a walk in along a fire trail and then paddle back to the start :) Had some fun on the rapids- here are a few pics

Great pics Lizzy
We can learn a lot from crayons. They come in different shapes and colours, but they all have to live in the same box
