I was up at Camp Creek (Speculation) weekend before last and the creek is running as it always seems to - about 75m up the track from the locked gate. Not sure about Viking Saddle - was there 6 weeks ago and the creek was just running then - but limited to the final water hole before it drops over the waterfall.

I wouldn't expect to find any at Viking saddle at the moment. Carry enough for 2 days from Spec. Some people do Spec to the Wonnangatta in 1 day I believe. Hard work but at least you wouldn't need to carry quite as much water!

Thanks for the update. Don't think I have it in me to carry that much water or walk it all in a day. Not in heat anyways.
My back up is bogong. Pretty sure there is always water/tank at Cleve Cole.
Can't wait!!
