Google Trekking

Seems Google are branching out their street view platform to national parks and trekking.

Personally i'm looking forward to the VR Eastern Arthur's traverse...

Me too, it's the only way I'm likely to do that traverse 8). Thanks for finding that Geevesy. I've seen a couple of these visual "tours" and vaguely recall that NSW NPWS are doing them with a borrowed Google cam. Dharawal NP in the video is actually my local haunt about 15 mins away, although some of those shots are from nearby Royal NP and also up in the Blueys.

Does it count for peakbagging points? Would take a lot of the nerves out of getting up (and, more importantly, back down) Fedders.

Google have already done New Zealand Great Walks, as I posted previously. Keep in mind they are 360 degree street views, not video.

View them here.
