Xanthorrhoea spp. A couple of old friends in a gully near the Slot at Bungonia NP

A large teatree flower, about 3cm across. Guessing it's a Leptospermum? Was at Belmore Falls a lookout near Fitzroy Falls, southern highlands NSW. That area is like a mini Blue Mountains, closer to the ocean/minus the Sydney!

Very short teatree species in Abercrombie NP, was the main or most noticeable understory plant in a pretty dry bush area

It's a violet, not sure if I picked the best focused pic here, Abercrombie NP a couple of weeks ago

Cool lookin gumtree bark, Abercrombie NP. Anyone know the variety?

Nitpicking here but it should be Xanthorrhoea sp.
sp. = When referring to a plant in a genus but the species is unknown
spp. = When referring to some or all of the species in a genus
ssp. = subspecies

Thanks for the top tips. Screenshot taken. Always forget the spelling of that one and confused by the extra p too!
Too lazy to get into identifying specific species. Have some nice key guides and have seen some excellent reference books.
There is on species that has a no or subterranean trunk and a flower spike that looks more like a Bottlebrush. It may be an X. minor

Your spelling of Xanthorrhoea was correct. Just the extra 'p' wasn't. As I said though I was just nitpicking. You are also correct that X. minor doesn't grow a trunk above ground.

Waratahs flowering already in a couple of places. Seems a bit early.

Hmm not sure, saw my first wild ones around Upper Colo about a month ago.

Telopea truncata, ie: Tasmanian Waratah. In Tasmania. Can't recall ever seeing them earlier than December.

I think your third photo (purple flower) is Black Eyed Susan (Tetratheca pilosa)

Not sure if this is a Davidson Plum or a Black Plum, should have opened
it up to find out....amongst the Palm groves of Tamborine NP, Qld.

Leaning towards the Black Plum...a good excuse to return & find out for sure.

Saw this Rough Tree Fern (Cyathea australis) yesterday. It had been split in half by a huge fallen gum tree. It looked like the tree has been down for a long time so I was amazed the fern was still clinging to life.
