Qld Bird call that sounds like a crying baby

Postby walkon » Tue 08 Aug, 2017 7:57 am

Just spent a bit of time around Conondale NP. At various times we heard a bird that sounds like a baby crying. Does anyone have an idea what type of bird this is.

Try the Green Catbird....It's a bit unnerving when you first here it especially if your
in the middle of nowhere, not a soul around for miles & miles.

Thanks guys that sounds like the one. We originally thought that some other bushwalkers coming into camp had a baby with them. Then noone came into camp and the noises continued. We nearly went looking for the babe before we realised.
