I can't believe it.
We had a clear sky and a warm night, I was awake and yet I forgot about it.
Next time it will be cloudy ....

I'd seen a headline in the news and ignored it. My wife tried to tell me about it and I stopped her, told her I didn't want to hear about another silly "super moon".

I was doing the Du Cane Range traverse and for some reason woke up around midnight, unable to go back to sleep for some time. What the heck is wrong with the moon? There were a few thin wispy bits of cloud and I assumed that was the cause. It wasn't until it started to come out of totality that I finally, thickheadedly, put two and two together.

I was camped in a perfect spot for it . . . until the clouds moved in and the rain started. :x

We heard about it on our way up to Wyperfeld N.P and got up early to watch from the top of a dune. It was nippy but worth it.

And then turned around to watch the sun rise
