Looking for Gortex Fabric (or similar)

Postby rurik » Fri 21 Jul, 2017 3:38 pm

Hey all,

I am wondering if anyone know of a supplier for Gortex fabric by the meter?

I have a particular project I am working on and would like to make my own parka type thing out of it.

Thanks

It is for the snow so heavy duty is what I am after and I am looking for 2-3m of it depending on width.

Do you mind camouflage?
We have some HD Ozcam in eVent WPB
Also some military grade in Tan Goretex and both are 1550 wide

I was going to steer away from camouflage mainly because I work with youth and it is not always approiate. However It is not a deal breaker as one of the jackets in system I am making in cam.
I was thinking of any of the colours from auscam or black. My perfect choice would be a Karachi similar to what hard yakker use

I will make a pattern and see how much I need. Does the fabric have a texture to it? Ie do all the bits need to run the same way
