looking for cart dimensions

Sat 26 May, 2018 10:44 am

Will be building a cart like the one below , just curious if anyone has the rough dimensions of those carts? Looks like 4' wide x 3' - 4' long?? I'm only carrying 2 x 20 L Nato water cans, two Front Runner Wolf Pack cases and a Pelican ProGear Cooler, and fishing/camping gear. (note: the cart will be for short 2 - 5 days trip with access to food supplies and water in some parts, provincial campsites and other free camping areas in the forests. )

Hi Bushman you’d build it around whatever wheels your using. Those ones look like UMA II fat bike rims 26” x 4” .Poles look a bit flexy. The cart body looks quite strong - looks like they’ve sized theirs to suit those 20l drums.

ended up getting a thru axle machined to fit 15mm ID front bike hubs / wheels. cut down a shopping cart tray and slapped some aluminum poles to it. Its extremely functional for local (BC CANADA) forest service roads, pavement, gravel trails and is very field serviceable with easily found parts and minimal tools. Max load is about 75 lbs (good enough for my needs)
