Modifying an adult sleeping bag for toddler

Tue 30 Oct, 2018 7:23 pm

I have one of the Aldi -8C sleeping bags kicking around, and since I'm not much of a bag person, I figured I would have a crack at making some modifications to it so that my toddler can use it, since it already weighs less than most "kid's" sleeping bags I have seen.

Aiming to end up something like this: https://www.bigagnes.com/Duster-15

The easiest way is just to put a strap or cord around it at a point that provides sufficient, but not too much length. The main issue is when the toddler wriggles too far down the bag and can't work how to get out.

What Mark says to do is what I did for my kids, I just used some LW shockcord tied in a loop with the bag inside out and the excess simply filled up the bag on the inside, Cheap and simple solutions are often the best
