[TAS Launie] BRAND NEW Mont Pioneer 85 Large

Postby bushwalker zane » Mon 25 Sep, 2017 6:29 pm

Hi everyone!

I was looking at getting a new backpack, and the one that stood out best to me was the Mont Pioneer (more info on the bag here https://www.mont.com.au/pioneer-backpack-lg-nutria-carbon ). I chose the large bag for my long back, however, the hip belt is too big for me! I'm 32 inch around the waist (or so says my pants) and have had a friend who is the same build as me try it on, and they find it too big, too. You would need to be at least 34 inch for it to be comfortable. Mont don't supply the hip belt in a medium any-more, and so I'm trying to sell it on just to be rid of it quick and easy.

Like I said, it's brand new and never been taken for a walk. If you're looking for a new bag, this could be the perfect fit for up-coming summer adventures! (And trust me, I'm peeved it ain't gonna work for me  ).
New they are $530
Selling for $220

Happy to deliver to the Launceston region, and can sort out you southerners :)

Zane

Can you not return it in exchange for the right size?

They don't make the medium anymore, plus the back length would be too short for me.

Yep, not too bad for a canvas pack of that capacity.

I can't tighten it enough. Because the wings are too big.

Why not just shorten them? Most commercial/industrial sewing machines have enough rise to feed them under, if you are in Hobart isn't there a sailmaker who occasionally does small jobs like this?

So just return it for a refund?

Could do, and probably will do as this has just turned into a big schooling lesson as opposed to actually any interest in the bag. If I return it I'll have to pay some shipping, so I figured I could try to pass it on to someone else who might be interested, but it seems like everyone just wants to tell me what to do.
