A cottage/wall tent for those into simple, well made, long lasting gear - maybe with a dash of nostalgia. :)

This a larger version of the Paddymade Glen and Era wall tents, and made from heavier fabric. Aimed specifically at those who camp from a car, particularly a small car, and want a light simple tent with far more room than anything that one would carry on one's back. Zip closures front and rear, but no screens, floor or any other complications.

Constructed from heavy japara. Includes a pair of Bulldog telescopic alloy poles, one with non structural surface corrosion

Dimensions:Height 2000, Length 2500, Width 2100, Wall height 750. Weight 5kg.bare

Tent has had minimal use, and is unmarked. No mould, scuffs, stains, holes etc. No corrosion on eyelets. Zips are perfect.

Pics available to be emailed to any serious enquirers.

$200

There is a word for people like you Stry and it isn't a pretty one.
OMG I am seriously interested to convert for hot tent use.
Would you be interested in a swap for my Era LW with floor? Maybe with a slab tossed your way into the deal?
Where the heck did you find it?

I'm not surprised to see you here MD :)

I'm trying with much determination to reduce my gear, so am not keen on a swap, thank you. I could say that I also own an Era in Stormtite japara, but if I told you that, you may search your vocabulary for additional words to describe people like me.

I had not even considered a snow application, although my Era has seen a bit of snow; but the hot tent application could work very well. Sort of like a compact, light weight version of the cottage tent/stove combos used in the US. The wall height is sufficient for stretchers or other off ground sleeping setups.

I bought it new from Paddy's in Elizabeth St. (Melb) many years ago. If it wasn't the last Karkampa, it was very close to the last.

7 * 8 feet in Imperial terms is pretty much a solo tent when using a stove and a cot.
Already have 3 sets of Bulldog poles tho I've never seen 6foot bulldog sets. Do these have an adjustable lower section like the Chouinard sets?
