The site is up, there's still some teething problems I need to sort.

Gallery and a Blog will be added in the next few days.

I still have more info on stoves to add.

...apart from the grammar and spelling issues.

Sorry. I don't mean to be negative, but pedantry is hard-wired into my brain.

Yeah, what ever. I see things have not improved here.

I will go over it and correct the spelling issues as best I can.

I will try to improve it to the best of my knowledge, which is obviously no where near the knowledge of some here.

Well, I could offer to proof read and edit for you but I'm a bit busy over the next fortnight.

Relax Phil :) As always, the Australian sense of humour takes a bit of getting used to :D

I will take you up on this offer, anytime your ready let me know. English is not my best language, but i don't want to stop this site because of my grammar. Particularly after all the work I've put into it. Many hours have gone into creating this site.

The blog is up and running now.

It only works in autumn and spring though. In winter you need to keep rewarming the dough so that it can rise.

you can forget breakback mountain....American cowboys used to sleep with their sourdough starter to keep it alive during winter.

Phil, congratulations on your web site. You have obviously put heaps of work into it - it looks great and is easy to read and follow. I'm looking forward to reading more on it as it develops. Thanks for sharing your ideas and experiments.

It looks like you have a really good start. Putting together a large site is really tough, and yours will have a lot of information by the time its filled out I'm sure.

Hi Phil, Love your new website. Thank you for all the work you put into it and for sharing!!! I have been meaning to try some backing on one of our trips, so now I am inspired.

The only request I have is to add more pictures of your baking in the gallery section.

Cheers :)

Thanks, Don't worry there will be plenty of baking images added soon. I'm packing up for a trip leaving this weekend. I will be a way for a while. Every chance I get I will update the webpage. I'm hoping that my new Batchstovez BS 1.1 will arrive before the weekend. It arrived in Sydney on the 30 March, not sure why it's not here yet. If it don't arrive tomorrow, I'm going to be a bit disappointed with the Australian postal service.

Hello all.

Been a long time since I been on here.

Sorry, I"ve taken that site down. Was not generating enough interest at the time for the money I was spending on it.

Good find

I 'found' it the same way you did. Someone wanted some info off one of my old web pages .. and someone else showed the old web page using that archive (wayback machine is how I remember it). If you have done with a web page and they archive it .. then you can remove it from your web space and reference it on the archive - meaning you now regain some of your webspace... The problem is if you find an error .. much harder to fix and have it trace through that archive then.

If you need hosting (even without your domain) I have space to give it a home and keep it alive and editable.
